Alzheimer’s Disease Specialty Training Overview
Alzheimer’s disease is a devastating condition with broad reaching consequences not only for the patient but for families and caregivers as well. Through a series of 3 monographs this program will provide the pharmacist/nurse with advanced expertise in Alzheimer’s disease: its pathophysiology, assessment, treatment options, and coping strategies for the family and caregivers. With permission, we will notify local primary care physicians of the pharmacist’s/nurse’s participation in this program in the hopes of establishing an Alzheimer’s disease healthcare network to further improve patient outcomes.
